Everton vs Crystal Palace LIVE: Confirmed team news, TV details, goal and score updates

Crystal Palace head to Goodison Park on Thursday night to face Everton in one of the biggest games of their season.

The Toffees are still in contention for relegation with two games remaining and know a win over Palace would see them to safety. A draw or an Eagles victory however would take it to the final day where Frank Lampardโ€™s side face a daunting trip to Arsenal, leaving them potentially dependent on the results of both Leeds and Burnley.

Patrick Vieira and Crystal Palace go into the game comfortably in mid-table but still seeking a top-half finish following their 1-1 draw at Villa Park last time out. The Eagles can still end the season with a number of records too. A best-ever points total in a 38-game season (49) is still attainable with two wins from their final two games while four more goals would equal their best return in a Premier League campaign.

This will be the third time Palace have played Everton this season having already triumphed over them twice at Selhurst Park. Conor Gallagher screwed twice in a 3-1 victory in the league in December before, in the FA Cup quarter-finals in March, Palace breezed to Wembley with a 4-0 hammering.

Everton welcome Crystal Palace to Goodison Park on Thursday night knowing victory would secure the club's Premier League status (7.45pm kick-off).

The Blues missed the chance to confirm their safety when they lost 3-2 on Sunday at home to a Brentford side who benefited from two major refereeing decisions.

But Frank Lampard's team have another chance of securing their survival this evening when they welcome Crystal Palace to L4.

The match, arguably Everton's biggest in a generation, is sold out and there is sure to be an incredible atmosphere before, during - and hopefully - after it.

Our EFC reporters Joe Thomas and Adam Jones will be at Goodison Park to provide all the updates - starting with what is expected to be another huge welcome for the Blues players before kick-off. Then it'll be all about the match itself and, following the final whistle, all the big talking points.

Crystal Palace play their final away Premier League match away match of the season this evening as they take on relegation-threatened Everton at Goodison Park.

The Eagles are still hunting a top-half finish in the league this season but need all six points from their remaining two games to accomplish that. Standing in their way tonight are an Everton side who know three points on Merseyside will mathematically keep them safe from the drop, though anything other than a win would take the relegation battle to the final day.

Patrick Vieira warned his players in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon that tonight's atmosphere is likely to be fervent and that the Toffees will be in their faces for the length of the match. Palace have a good record against Everton, however, having already beaten them twice this season in the league and FA Cup at Selhurst Park.

Patrick Vieira has confirmed that four Crystal Palace players are set to miss Thursdayโ€™s trip to Goodison Park to face Everton.

The Eagles are chasing a top-ten finish and a record Premier League points haul that can only be accomplished if they win on Merseyside and beat Manchester United at Selhurst Park on the final day of the season.

The Toffees face the Eagles at Goodison Park Thursday night (19 May) in one of their final two games of the Premier League season, and a positive result could all but secure their top flight survival.

Since the Brazilian was derided for completing a single pass from a kick off in the Merseyside derby (Mirror), he has played less than half an hour of football for Frank Lampard across four games, but with injuries and suspensions mounting Campbell thinks he is in line to feature.

The obvious change for me is to bring in Allan for Andre Gomes. Everton will need steel in midfield and I think he will provide greater protection to a patched-up defence. What I am torn on is the positioning of Alex Iwobi - does Frank Lampard start him as a right-wingback, where he has battled hard in recent weeks, or move him into centre midfield alongside Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure?

That would likely mean starting Jonjoe Kenny and dropping an attacker, which I would rather not do when a win would be so vital. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the pitch, Everton do have someone who can both win flick-ons and get onto the end of crosses. That worked well initially on Sunday.

Iโ€™m therefore going to stick with the formation Lampard started with against Brentford and which worked so well until the first red card. It was essentially a 5-2-3 - so five at the back with Allan and Doucoure sat in front of them and Richarlison and Anthony Gordon playing off Calvert-Lewin. Itโ€™s a bit of an unusual tactic but one that provides a degree of defensive security while offering a genuine threat going forward.

Everton could be forced to utilise a three-man midfield to combat the dynamism - chiefly Conor Gallagher - of the visitors and secure the three points and Premier League safety.

Alex Iwobi starts in an attacking midfield role ahead of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure while Anthony Gordon gets the nod ahead of Demarai Gray on the flank.

Michael Keane returns in defence and Dominic Calvert-Lewin leads the line.

It has not been Calvert-Lewin's best season for a number of reasons but imagine if he could score the goal to keep Everton in the top-flight? It could do his confidence the world of good and allow Lampard to begin planning for next term. sdasdewqeqeq dcfgnm,
